India is presently in the midst of its second “Green Revolution”. During the first “Green Revolution”, India achieved self-sufficiency in the supply of food grains, an extraordinary achievement of its agricultural sector. While dealing with a high rate of population increase, the issue of food security has become crucial, leading the country to a compelling need to find alternative ways to feed its 1.2 billion people.

The first goal of the present “Green Revolution” is the transition towards sustainable agriculture, including implementing agricultural production practices which take into consideration the protection of natural resources and the environment; effective utilization of water resources and the reduction of harmful pesticides.

The second goal is diversification – by diversifying the food basket, the population will benefit from a larger supply of fruits and vegetables, a primary source of essential minerals and vitamins. The important task of achieving this challenge was entrusted to India’s National Horticulture Mission (NHM).

Biotechnology - engineering long lasting plants

We propose to have a large fully automated greenhouse for Research and Development where we nurture and train the talent to create better and robust products. The aim of the facility is to maintain quality and excellence in our production and develop products for the future.

 

Floriculture

Floriculture - Flowers celebrate all that is beautiful and joyful in life

Floriculture products mainly consist of cut flowers, pot plants, cut foilage, seeds bulbs, tubers, rooted cuttings and dried flowers or leaves. The important floricultural crops in the international cut flower trade are rose, carnation, chrysanthemum, gargera, gladiolus, gypsophila, liastris, nerine, orchids, archilea, anthuriu, tulip, and lilies. Floriculture crops like gerberas, carnation, etc. are grown in green houses. We  aim to produce top quality flowers for export across the world.

Horticulture

Horticulture primarily differs from agriculture in two ways. First, it generally encompasses a smaller scale of cultivation, using small plots of mixed crops rather than large fields of single crops. Secondly, horticultural cultivations generally include a wide variety of crops, even including fruit trees with ground crops. We intend to work closes with the National Horticulture Board in securing availability of quality planting material by promoting setting up of scion and root stock banks / mother plant nurseries and need based imports of planting material. We want to build and apply our knowledge, skills, and technologies to grow intensively produced plants for human food and non-food uses and for personal or social needs.

Plant nursery

We plan to create a state of the art plant nursery with the ability to keep a wide variety of plants ranging from palms, creepers, ornamental, seasonal to cacti and succulents. The nursery intends to cater to demands of urban landscaping, designers, public spaces and private customers
