Young Entrepreneurs Join Forces to Combat Climate Change with Thermacool – Cool Roof Solution

In an inspiring move that exemplifies the spirit of environmental stewardship, two passionate individuals, Shourya Varun Kishorepuria and Shefali Roy, have taken a solemn pledge to protect the environment and offer a cool roof solution to the masses where air conditioning is not easily accessible. Drawing inspiration from their accomplished parents, Mr. Sunil Kishorepuria, MD of Sagar Business Private Limited, and Mrs. Mala Roy, MD and Founder of Thermogreen Cool Coat Pvt Ltd, these young entrepreneurs are providing this Made In India Thermacool heat reflective coating solution to promote sustainability and combat global warming.

Shourya Varun Kishorepuria, an entrepreneur from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, is driving the cool roof initiative in Eastern India. He promotes sustainable construction practices and collaborates with EPC companies and Tata Steel to optimize material consumption. Shourya also works with BEST Energy to reduce electrical waste in industrial applications. Dedicated to sustainability, he introduces Thermacool, a patented product developed at IIT Bombay, which reduces heat absorption in buildings. This makes them cooler and more energy-efficient by decreasing HVAC load during summer. Shourya's efforts, supported by his family's business background, focus on collaborating with local communities to create environmentally friendly solutions.

Shefali Roy, a young entrepreneur, has taken on the Thermacool cool roof mission in India and the Middle East as the Vice President – Marketing at Thermacool. With a Master's degree from Oxford, UK, she gained experience in the food sector, working with Nestle UK and FSSAI in London and India. Shefali's passion for food and sustainability led her to join the cool roof endeavour started by her parents. On World Food Safety Day, she highlighted the issue of food wastage and emphasized the importance of temperature control in minimizing grain losses and preserving every produced grain in warehouses and fresh food storage facilities.

With a shared vision, this dynamic duo, are actively addressing global warming and working towards India's commitment to reducing carbon footprints. Their collaborative efforts aim to mitigate the effects of global warming by advocating for the widespread adoption Thermacool's simple technology: a 2-layer heat reflective coating for roofs. Their work aligns with the global movement towards sustainability, inspiring others to embrace innovative solutions and make a positive impact on the planet.
