Sagar Business, Tata Steel launch India’s 1st TJK Superflex Weldmesh Line in Odisha

Sagar Business Ventures Limited (SBVL), in partnership with Tata Steel, today inaugurated India's first TJK Superflex weldmesh manufacturing line at its steel processing facility in Odisha's Tangi.

Developed in collaboration with technology firm TJK, the Superflex line is aimed at producing wider weldmesh for infrastructure and construction projects.

Tata Steel Vice President (Marketing and Sales) Ashish Anupam inaugurated the facility in the presence of SBVL Director Sriyash Kishorepuria and senior officials of Tata Steel, TJK and the industry.

SBVL Managing Director Sunil Kishorpuria said the company had started its operations in Odisha 15 years ago as a single-product distributor and has now established one of the state's largest integrated steel processing facilities along with the country's first TJK Superflex welded wiremesh line.

According to the company, the manufacturing line can produce weldmesh of up to 3.3 metres in width for residential and commercial projects using aluminium formwork for RCC wall construction, exceeding the conventional industry limit of 2.4 metres.

The facility has a production capacity of 1,000 metric tonnes per month and is designed to improve productivity, reduce labour dependency and ensure precision in large-scale construction projects, including infrastructure, high-rise buildings and precast structures.

The company said the Superflex line also offers customised mesh spacing, while reducing material wastage and scrap generation.

The inauguration also marked the launch of SBVL's integrated steel processing ecosystem at Tangi, comprising cut-and-bend services, quality testing infrastructure and EPC capabilities under one roof.
